Land side swallowed the house and floods wiped out cars on Sunday in the resort town of Gapion, northeast of the capital Seoul.
One person was found dead after the house collapsed, and another was found to be washed away by a swollen stream, but six people went missing in the town and the south city of Gwanju.
The Home Office said eight people had died and six others were missing on Saturday in the southern town of Sancheon.
Earlier in the week, three people were found dead in a submerged car, and people were also killed when the car was buried in soil and concrete after a collapsed elevated wall in Osan, just south of Seoul.
Since the downpour began on Wednesday, the southern region has been hit with up to 600-800mm (24-31inch) of rain.
