Tehran – The Tehran province section of the 17th FAJR Visual Arts Festival, featuring a segment from my hometown, will officially open on Tuesday at the Rasul-Email Gallery in Tehran.
The artistic event in the province will feature works by 15 selected Tehran artists in a variety of fields, including painting, calligraphy, sculpture, photography, installation art, performance art and prints.
Leila Banki, Saman Shadanlou, Zohreh Hassani, Mohammad Kariminia and Mehrad Mehrkish are one of the selected artists to participate in the festival.
The edition of this festival will be held in a non-competitive format focusing on the country’s state subculture, traditions and local art.
My Hometown section of the Festival is held in all 31 states and features an exhibition of artistic works curated by the state artistic directors of the festival.
My hometown segment begins in Fars State, with the opening bell marking the beginning of the festival, which is ringing from Shiraz’s SARV gallery.
Under the artistic management of Behdad Najafi Asadollahi, the Tehran province event will be held until February 18th.
