Saeed Khatibzadeh, chairman of the Institute of Politics and International Studies (IPIS), affiliated with Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Wednesday that this year’s Tehran Dialogue Forum will attract 200 foreign guests, including 40 current and former European staff.
Khatibzadeh said seniors, including ministers, vice ministers and other decision makers of all Persian Gulf Coast Provinces, as well as senior guests from China, Russia and Afghanistan, will be taking part in the event scheduled for May 18-19, 2025.
50 media offices from Iran and other countries cover the forum, a former Foreign Ministry spokesman added that this year’s discussion will focus on the regional impact on the international order and obstacles, particularly in regards to convergence and divergence.
According to the IPIS chief, Tehran’s Dialogue Forum serves as the most important diplomatic platform for Iran’s international dialogue, and the Institute has been holding such events for the past 40 years.
He said the forum was not held last year due to the death of former president Ebrahim Raisi.
Khatibzadeh said it is expected that senior officials and ambassadors will be attending the opening ceremony of the forum on Sunday. He also said 40 sessions will be held on various panels, with some broadcasts being live and live in Iran and internationally.
He further said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pursuing diplomatic goals of the Pezeskia regime during the upcoming Tehran Dialogue Forum.
