Tehran – The commencement of Tourism Week, 400 festivals and special events focusing on tourism and sustainable development will be held across Iran from September 27th to October 3rd, said Mostafa Fatemi, director of the National Tourism Development Bureau.
At a press conference on Tourism Week on Sunday, he said that the World Tourism Organization proposes a specific slogan every year, and this year it will select “Tourism and Sustainable Development” as its slogan, with all programs focusing on it.
He added that the Every Day of Tourism Week is named after the title, “The first day of Tourism Week on September 27th will be named “Tourism and Sustainable Development,” with various programs being held in states and embassies, and today the ceremony will be awarded a green badge to the model hoteliers of the ceremony.”
The second day, September 28, is called “Sustainable Tourism, Education and Sustainable Development,” and in addition to holding a variety of programs, education workshops will also be held on sustainable tourism, he said.
The third day, September 29, was named “Tourism and Family,” he noted, adding that programs and meetings on social sustainability, women and family participation, as well as specialized training courses for women and managers of accommodation centers and tourist facilities are being considered.
He continued that the fourth day, September 30th, was designated as “tourism and economic sustainability,” where tourism projects will be launched simultaneously.
On October 1st, on the fifth day on the theme of “Tourism, Local Society and Environment”, the sightseeing tour will be held in Tehran and the county, and the meeting will be held in Abbas Abadland, Tehran, he added.
Fatemi said the event focused on local customs was on the theme of “tourism and culture” on the sixth day of October 2nd.
He pointed out that the International Tourism Festival of Iran will be held on the seventh day of October 3rd, and will be held in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce on the theme of “International Tourism and Digital Development” with the theme of “International Tourism and Digital Development” and will be held with a specialist conference on electronic tours, a national Friendship Association meeting, and a public visit to museums.
Fatemi said, “Events play an important role in promoting tourism, so events should be held.”
He said people once only traveled to certain districts and hotels in certain countries such as Semnan and Karman, but now there are also plenty of hotels in these states. This change in approach comes from holding events and showing elegance in various states, he added.
“We prepared cheap travel packages that were not approved by the government, but we looked into another plan in the form of a platform that received discounts from our travel agents.
