Local Iranian officials told media that Quake crashed at 10:23am and measured magnitude 5 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Badrud district, 5 km from Natanz city in Iran’s central Isfahan province.
The earthquake occurred 10km deep, Mansoor Grass Sishefors, director of the Crisis Management Bureau of the Isfahan Governor’s Office, added that 10 search and rescue teams had been sent to the epicenter.
He told the media: “The earthquake caused the buildings in Central Natantz County to shake, and people took them to the streets and squares.”
Shishefash emphasized that there will be immediate reports of casualties in the earthquake.
Officials said there were later six aftershocks, the largest of which was measured.
