The invitations for publishers to register for the event bring together a diverse pool of applicants, from which 30 will be selected based on specific criteria set by the judges panel, the IRNA reported on Sunday.
These publishers have been added to Albania, Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Malaysia, Neiapal, Nigeria, Malaysia, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Syria, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
Additionally, 64 Iranian publishers have registered for fellowships, with 40 expected to be selected based on established criteria and decisions from the review board.
This fellowship aims to strengthen Iran’s presence in the field of global publishing, initially focusing on the literature of children and young adults.
The term “publishing fellowship” refers to collaborations for the sale of books between publishers, authors and literary agents. The Ministry of Culture supports efforts in this area through initiatives such as grants and top programs.
The grant programme aims to nurture the Iranian publishing industry and to encourage the existence of Iranian books in the global market.
Persian Top or Translation is a project that promotes the translation of Persian books into other languages.
The 36th Tehran International Book Fair will be held from May 7th to May 17th at Imam Khomeinimosala, Tehran under “Read for Iran.”
