“Israeli occupation forces have committed 80 documented violations since the ceasefire was declared, which are serious violations of international humanitarian law,” Gaza’s government media office said in a statement.
Violations included direct firing at civilians, shelling, deliberate targeting, setting up “firebreaks” and arresting civilians, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the statement, Israeli forces used military vehicles, tanks deployed on the edges of residential areas, electronic cranes with remote targeting systems, fighter jets and quadcopter drones to attack the populated areas.
“These violations were recorded in all governorates of the Gaza Strip without exception, confirming that the occupation forces are not observing the ceasefire and are continuing their policy of murder and terror against our people,” the statement said.
The Gaza government maintains that the Israeli regime bears full responsibility for the violations and called on the United Nations and the deal’s guarantors to intervene urgently to stop the invasion.
A ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian resistance group Hamas and the Israeli regime, based on a proposal by US President Donald Trump, went into effect on October 10th.
The agreement calls for a gradual withdrawal of Israeli troops, a mutual exchange of prisoners of war, and the immediate entry of humanitarian aid.
