Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei welcomed the signing of the border treaty between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.
“The success in closing this agreement is a critical step in establishing peace and stability in the region,” Bakaei said.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the success of entering into this agreement as an important step in establishing peace and stability in the region, and considered it a confirmation of the effectiveness of diplomacy in resolving conflicts between countries while observing and ensuring mutual respect and interests.
Kyrgyz President Sadr Javalov and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Ramon signed an agreement on Thursday to demarcate a shared border in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek. The agreement aims to end a long-term border dispute that has killed dozens of people in recent years in border conflicts.
