TEHRAN – Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the latest US military attack on Yemen, calling it a reckless act of attack that puts global stability at stake.
Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the overnight airstrike, resulting in the deaths of dozens, including women and children, as a serious violation of international law and the UN Charter.
In a statement, Iranian officials said the strike poses a direct threat to regional and international peace and security. He also pointed to President Donald Trump’s horrific threat of unleashing “hell” on Yemen’s Ansarla movement as further evidence of Washington’s aggressive stance. “Such acts of aggression violate the prohibition of the use of force and respect for the sovereignty of the state and territorial integrity,” Bakaei wrote.
The Foreign Ministry further argued that the joint military action coincided with the unshakable support of the UK and Britain for Palestinian oppression, citing the ongoing denial of genocide and Palestinian fundamental rights in Gaza. The West has supported Israel in its latest war in Gaza since it began in October 2023, providing regime forces, fiscal, logistics, political and diplomatic support. Over 60,000 people have died in Gaza in the past 18 months.
The latest attack on Yemen comes days after Yemeni forces declared their intention to resume maritime operations targeting Israeli-linked transport in the Red Sea. Yemen under Ansarra is considered to be part of the axis of resistance.
The idiot rays have reiterated that the root causes of Western Asia’s instability are Palestinian occupation and brutal oppression. He called on all countries, international organizations and Islamic organisations to actively resist the ongoing acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out against the Palestinian people. “The UN Security Council will take action against these violations and protect international peace and security,” he said.
Yemen is currently preparing for a military response to the United States. It is unclear whether this reflects previous engagement focused on American ships. Analysts point to US bases in West Asia, playing a role in recent attacks. Yemen’s Ansarla movement also has a history of successfully targeting Israeli assets in occupying regions, a region protected by some of the world’s most sophisticated air defense systems.
Yemen is known as a resilient country as it successfully succeeded in a Saudi-led, US-backed invasion in the 2010s, repelled, and repelled. The country is still under lockdown and tackles a variety of humanitarian issues. But it was able to produce cutting-edge weapons despite disastrous limitations.
In another statement, Ali Akbar Velayati, an adviser to the leaders of the Islamic Revolution, said the US and Israel would once again oppose the resistance. “This criminal aggression, like the failures of America and Zionism in Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and their other historical failures in the region, is doomed to failure,” Velayati stated, adding, “The aggressors should know that the belief in Resistance will not be burned by bombing, fire and crime, and will rise again from the ashes of destruction like a phoenix, and the nations of the region and freedom-seekers will never allow their colonial and rogh policies to achieve it.”
The Palestinian cause is historically close to the heart of Yemen. In the wake of Sanaa’s recent Western airstrike, video circulating online filmed Yemeni citizens filming the attack, promising that they would not leave the Palestinians alone.
“The brave sons of Yemen have changed the regional equations with their decisive actions, pose a major challenge to supporters of Zionism and state terrorism,” Belayati pointed out.
