Syria has faced long-term instability and anxiety since the overthrow of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad by Aljurani-led terrorist group Heiat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS).
The latest attacks are said to have targeted the Lebanese border area, and in response to Operation Hezbollah within Syria, Al-Arabiya said, it led to the deaths of three Syrian soldiers. The report alleged that in retaliation, forces related to the HTS launched rocket and artillery attacks in the Lebanon border area.
Syrian security sources told Al Jazeera that violent clashes erupted along the Lebanon-Syrian border, with fire on both sides.
Under the Arjurani regime, the Syrian Ministry of Defense issued a statement pledging to “take all necessary actions” in response to alleged escalation in Hezbollah.
However, Hezbollah firmly refused to be involved in Sunday’s border conflict between Lebanon and Syria.
