Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi made his remarks as tensions have risen between Yemen and the United States after US President Donald Trump ordered a fatal air strike in Yemen on Sunday night.
The raid began hours after the Ansala Resistance Movement warned Yemeni forces would target American aircraft airlines and warships in the region.
Yemen claims that occupied areas and Israeli ships will continue to operate Palestinian parentals against sensitive, strategic targets of Israeli ships across major waterways.
“Yemen has already issued public warnings that they will not be forced to remain silent about the atrocities of Palestinians in Gaza, hunger, and Zionist aggression in unjust siege, and that it will meet siege and escalation,” Atifi said.
He repeated that. “If Zionist enemies lift a siege against the people of Gaza, the Yemenis army is ready to develop conflicts proportional to the size of the challenge and the emergency.”
Officials noted that the Israeli regime blocked the invasion of important aid items into the Gaza Strip, including food, medicine and water, according to a report on television.
The administration has strictly maintained the lockdown, but it was expected to recur with a deadly attack on Gaza and end a massive 15-month war by Tel Aviv against the already poor, poor and destroyed coastal ditch. The violations surged significantly on Tuesday, claiming the lives of more than 350 Gazans, mostly women and children.
Atifi reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for Gaza, saying the state will continue to work until justice is achieved for the Palestinians and their suffering is over.
Yemen stopped the pro-Palestinian strike after the ceasefire came into effect in January. However, after the Israeli regime failed to pay attention to Sanaa’s deadline to lift the siege and reach Palestinian territory, it resumed operations targeting Israeli ships.
Al-Atifi stressed that Yemen’s military capabilities, including missile forces, drones and naval units, are ready for peak to take on missions to protect Arab and Islamic countries.
The Yemeni Defense Minister emphasized that all necessary military measures have been implemented after the expiration of the deadline for the removal of the siege.
He warned that his country is not passive in the face of ongoing Israeli attacks, and emphasized that a proportional response would be met with regime escalation.
Meanwhile, officials warned states that support the Israeli regime or that provide naval protection for their vessels.
Atifi has mentioned the US and Britain, which relied on an aggressive naval accumulation off the Yemen coastline, escalating an attack on the Arab Peninsula country and attempting to stop the pro-Palestinian strike.
Sana’a has responded to fierce attacks by targeting American warships and increasing preparations to take on naval assets.
Yemeni officials have however revealed that Yemen has made its decision to prevent Israeli ships from sailing through the Red Sea, Bab el Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea.
