Speaking to a journalist at the Karachi Press Club, Kadumi said Israel has been blocking Gaza’s water supply for 15 days, but the Muslim world remains silent. He accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement in the most cruel way, reported Pakistani website Minute Morror.
Qaddoumi recalled that Yasser Arafat refused to hand over the holy Qud to Israel and refused to deny the right to return to Palestinian refugees. He said that Arafat’s assassination was planned due to resistance to these demands.
He emphasized that Hamas fighters used gliders to invade the occupying territory for 40 kilometers, demonstrating its strength. He also said Hamas has globally defeated the Israeli story, and Israel itself has admitted the loss of 6,000 soldiers.
Qaddoumi said that the Palestinians would not leave their homelands and that the Gaza people stood firm in Hamas. Of Gaza’s 2.4 million Palestinians, only 150,000 left, and went abroad for treatment and education.
He argued that Hamas treated Israeli prisoners according to Islamic principles and ensured their happiness even when Hamas leader Yahya Singwar endured three days of hunger. He added that the released prisoners of Zionis were in good health when released by Hamas.
Qaddoumi said Hamas would not allow external forces to decide on Palestinian leadership. He expressed his readiness to hand over the reconstruction of Gaza to the Technocrat Committee, but made it clear that Gaza’s leadership is in full operationality and intact.
He pointed to Israel’s faced diplomatic isolation and cited the way France refused to welcome Israeli delegations at its annual Holocaust conference due to public pressure. He thanked Pakistani government and the unwavering humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians.
According to Qaddoumi, Operation Al-Aqsa Storm marks the end of US oral statements in the Middle East. He emphasized that the independent Palestinian state secured the border between Egypt and Jordan and repeated strong ties between Hamas and Saudi Arabia.
