President Masuud Pezeshkian called on Iranian nations to show unity and solidarity during the upcoming international QUDS day, emphasizing the robust public presence of the Islamic Republic’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
“With the wider presence of people, we hope that we will have a bright day of QUDS. On this day, we hope that people will showcase unity and solidarity to the world.”
Founded by the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, the day of International Queds is observed annually on the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
It serves as a global platform for Muslims and freedom seekers around the world to express solidarity with the Palestinians and condemn the occupation of Israeli regimes on Palestinian territory and the fatal invasion of the Palestinians.
Iranian military: resistance continues until the disappearance of Zionist regime
Reflecting the president’s sentiment, the general staff of the Islamic Republic Army issued a statement urging all free countries, particularly Muslims, to actively participate in QUDS day events.
The statement underscored the importance of the day as a symbol of resistance to global oppression, including the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime against the people of the region.
“International Quds Day is the day when free states and Muslims of the world stand on the stage against the oppression, tyranny and evil of the Zionist regime and its supporters,” the statement read.
He further emphasized that the day, rooted in Imam Khomeini’s visionary leadership, was a beacon of resistance to the myriad crimes committed by the US-led global hegemony and the “ruthless, child-killing Zionist regime.”
Public staff urged the global community to condemn inhumane crime, genocide, and “illegal administrations” and their unintended supporters, as well as other active efforts in the United States in particular.
The statement reaffirms that there is no single Palestinian state, and that resistance will continue until the liberation of the sacred occupation liberates the city of Al-Kud from Israel’s occupation and the “destroy of the Zionist regime.”
In related developments, Brigadier General Esmaeil Qa’ani, commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), similarly reaffirmed Iran’s unclear commitment to the Palestinian liberation cause of liberation from Israeli occupation and attacks.
