Iran’s Foreign Ministry has issued a statement reaffirming its solidarity with the Palestinians and urging its participation in International QUDS Day.
The statement highlighted the importance of the day, launched by Imam Khomeini (RA), in refusing to normalize Israel’s “colonial and oppressive” occupation.
It highlighted the growing global awareness of the legitimacy of Palestinian resistance.
The Palestine issue is more than a local issue. The statement added that this is a benchmark for global compliance with justice, law enforcement and human rights protection.
The ministry has condemned Israeli human rights abuses, including “apartheid, mass murder and genocide policies,” and accused the US, the UK and Germany of making it possible through support.
Characterizing resistance as the only solution, the statement pleaded with the international community to end occupation, apartheid and genocide, and repeated Iran’s commitment to a Palestinian state with Al-Kud as the capital.
