He spoke in a telephone conversation with Dutch Foreign Minister Casper Verdkamp on Wednesday.
During the call, the two discussed issues of bilateral relations, latest regional development, and mutual interest.
He accused Trump of the explicit threat of military action against Iran, violating the UN Charter and principles of international law.
The Foreign Minister warned that Iran will respond swiftly and decisively to attacks on its sovereignty or national interests.
Referring to Iran’s Islamic Republic, Aragut is a firm resolve to advance a peaceful nuclear program in accordance with international law, and reiterates that, as in the past, Iran’s Islamic Republic is ready for actual negotiations from an equal footing.
US President Donald Trump warned on Sunday that there will be “bombing” if Iran fails to reach the “New Deal” with the United States.
He emphasized that if Iran were to be held in a constructive atmosphere without threat, intimidation or coercion, it would remain open to “real” indirect consultations with the United States.
The Dutch Foreign Minister on his part expressed concern over the escalation of tensions and emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts through diplomatic means.
Berdkamp also called for Iran to play an important role in ensuring the security of international transport in the Red Sea.
