Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf coastal countries have imposed a ban on US fighter jets using airfields or air to attack airfields or air after President Donald Trump threatened to bomb the country.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Kuwait all told the US they would not allow the US to use their airspace or territory as launchpads against Iran, including refueling and rescue operations.
The decision comes after US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with a military strike over the weekend.
The official spoke about the terms of anonymity to discuss sensitive military programs.
“They don’t want to be drawn in,” the official said.
The incommunity of the Persian coastal state in the Gulf was a setback for the Trump administration, hoping to use massive airstrikes on Yemen’s Ansala Resistance movement as a show of forces surrounding Tehran on the negotiation table for nuclear deals.
