“We have a discussion with Iran in person and they have started. We’re going on Saturday. We’ll have a very big meeting and we’ll see what happens,” he told reporters at a meeting with the Israeli regime’s visit to Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that a meeting at almost the highest level will be held on Saturday.
“And I think everyone agrees that it’s better to do something obvious that they do business with,” he said, Tas reported.
“And what’s clear is that if Israel can avoid that, it would want to engage with Israel, or frankly, not to be frank,” he argued. “So we’re going to see if we can avoid that, but it will become a very dangerous territory and hope that those consultations will be successful. And if they succeed, I think it will be in Iran’s greatest benefit, we hope that happens.”
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi announced that Tehran and Washington will engage in high-level indirect negotiations in Oman this Saturday, calling it both “opportunities and tests” for the US.
Araguchi announced that Iran and the US will hold indirect talks in Oman on Saturday, with senior officials from both sides taking part.
“Iran and the US will meet on Saturday in Oman for an indirect high-level speech,” he wrote to X.
“It’s as much an opportunity as it is a test. The ball is on the American court,” he declared.
