Jordanian Army – According to an official Arab statement, the incident caused limited fires in forested mountainous areas but did not cause human casualties.
Nidal Abu Ali, director of Ma’in Hot Springs Resort, told Roya that the fire had erupted far from the main waterfalls, public picnic areas and tourist facilities.
Government spokesman and government communications minister Mohammad al-Momani confirmed Jordan’s ability to protect national interests and stay away from regional conflicts.
Momani confirmed that his life has not been lost, and said Jordan has reiterated his commitment to national security, and that Jordan continues to remain resilient in the face of threats and challenges.
He also asked the public to provide information to official sources and avoid approaching unverified news and dangerous areas.
The minister added that the fire caused serious damage to the forest area, but civil defense and military personnel responded with professionalism and efficiency.
Motani emphasizes the longstanding resilience of Jordan during times of crisis and believes in the wisdom of its leadership, national unity, and the strength of its institutions.
He concluded by highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening stability and national unity as Jordan continues to face regional and international challenges with courage and confidence.
