A group of commanders of Iran’s Islamic Republic Army were accepted on Sunday for a meeting with the leaders of the Islamic Revolution, who command all the troops.
At the first meeting of this kind since the start of the new Iranian year in 1404, the leaders described the Iranian army as a national shield and shelter to attackers, emphasizing the continued strengthening of the greatest preparation of both hardware and software fields to fulfill their national duties.
“The country’s progress has angered and annoyed Iran’s malicious people. Of course, there are weaknesses in areas such as economic issues that definitely need to be addressed,” he said.
“The enemy of the Islamic Republic is furious at the progress of the nation,” Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding, “It is the decision of the identity of an independent Muslim nation that infuriates the enemy.”
The leader also emphasized that “faith, courage and trust in God must be at its fullest in the army.”
