In a statement Sunday, hours after the attack took place, Hamas said the bombing had destroyed parts of the hospital, evacuated patients and injured.
Hamas called the attack a continuation of the “long atrocities” of the regime occupying the “fascists” in Gaza, saying Israeli forces were exempt from “blatant US cover” and in the midst of an omission of international accountability groups.
The statement questioned the silence of global institutions, particularly the UN Security Council, in the face of these “unprecedented crimes in modern history.”
Hamas further argued that the United States was “fully responsible” for Israeli attacks, and that the attack would not have happened without Washington’s green light.
It called on the international community, particularly the Arab and Islamic countries, to act quickly to halt what is called Gaza’s genocide.
The group also urged global supporters, as well as people from the Arab and Muslim world, as well as global supporters, to step up Israeli pressure to stop military campaigns in besieged territory.
