During a trip to the Russian capital, top Iranian diplomats are reportedly being reported. The leader of the Islamic Revolution tells him that he has sought Ali Khamenei to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaril Bhagihai made a comeback at a weekly press conference on Monday about his boss’s visit to Moscow.
Araguchi’s visit to Moscow was previously planned, Baghey added that the Foreign Minister will also be discussing with Russians about talks with Washington.
Speaking to reporters about the visit on Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Bagheei said: “The previously planned visit to Russia of the Islamic Republic of Iran is taking place within the framework of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the continued consultation and meetings of the two countries as a strategic partner.”
Baghaei added: “During this visit, Araghchi will discuss and exchange views with Russian officials on bilateral relations, regional and international developments, and recent indirect negotiations with the United States.”
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also thought the visit was a valuable opportunity to follow up on the implementation of the agreement between the two countries, particularly the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty between Iran’s Islamic Republic and the Russian Federation at the end of last year.
