Speaking to an Iranian media journalist in Moscow on Thursday, Aragut said, “The trip has several different goals. It was planned to convey a message written mainly by the leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seiyed Ali Khamenei) to the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
“We have always had close consultations with our Russian friends about nuclear issues, and now it’s a great opportunity to do the same thing as Russian officials.”
He also said that he will “discuss Israel’s crime, the Ukrainian issue and other developments and exchange opinions on travel.”
“The Iran-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty is a very important treaty in relations between the two countries that will raise the level of our relationship.”
The minister continued to tell reporters that he “is also pleased that the laws related to the treaty have gone through relevant stages in the Russian parliament and that it has been passed in Iran.”
“This treaty gives our relationship a long-term strategic perspective,” Araguchi concluded.
