Tajikistan’s Minister of Energy and Water Resources Dara Juma has described Iran as one of the most important strategic partners in the region.
Juma made his remarks on Saturday when he met with Vice President of International and Regional Cooperation, Ali Najafi Koshurdi, in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
In bilateral commerce, Minister Tajik said the volume of trade between the two countries reached $110.6 million in the first quarter of this year.
The figure represents an increase of $33.2 million compared to the same period last year, indicating a positive trend in economic cooperation, he added.
Referring to future meetings of officials from both Tehran, he said this will further accelerate relations by focusing on areas of energy, economic and cultural exchange.
Najafi Khoshrudi also emphasized that he also emphasized the need to pave the way for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Referring to the “Kujand Declaration,” which strengthens the path of eternal friendship between Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, he called the document the Cornerstone for the Stability of Central Asia.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in a variety of fields, including science and culture.
