The PTA is etched between both sides of the bystanders of the Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Cooperation Committee meeting, Samad Hassanzadeh said at a meeting on Saturday with the vice minister of investment, industry and trade in Uzbekistan’s Shofruk Gramov, Republic of Telan.
Iran and the Republic of Uzbekistan have high potential and capacity to strengthen bilateral trade of over $500 million, adding that Iccima, as a representative of the private sector, is ready to do everything to raise the level of trade on both sides.
Hassanzadeh stressed that the signing of the Priority Trade Agreement (PTA) between Iran and Uzbekistan will significantly strengthen trade cooperation between the two countries.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the chairman of ICCIMA pointed to the organization of the Iranian Exposition 2025, which will be held at Tehran’s permanent international fairgrounds on April 28, adding that Iran has high potential, especially in the fields of technology and engineering services, oil, gas, petrochemicals and food industries.
He noted that the Iranian private sector is particularly interested in co-investment in Uzbekistan, in its textile and clothing sector, and the Iranian Chamber of Commerce is seeking the necessary support for these investments.
