The Washington Post said the US has made very good progress in meetings with Iran in Rome, a senior Trump administration official who speaks on condition of anonymity under rules set by the administration, reported.
“I can say that this sit-in is good, following the previous session,” Foreign Minister Abbas Aragci told Iran’s provincial television. “We can say that consultations are moving forward. This time, we have managed to reach a better agreement on principles and targets.”
Omani’s Foreign Minister Badr al-Busadi sat beside him on Saturday in separate rooms at the Omani Embassy in Rome as he handed out a message between them.
Technical negotiations will begin on Wednesday in Oman, Araguchi said, and the two will meet for the third time on April 26th. Technical negotiations allow them to provide more “details.”
“We’ll meet next Saturday to study the outcomes of their work and see how close it is to the deal,” he said.
