At a press conference on Brick’s participation in the Agriculture Ministers’ Conference, he said:
The BRICS Group, an emerging economy, accounts for approximately 50% of the world’s population and a third of the world’s economy.
He has brought the volume of agricultural exchanges in BRICS countries to approximately $160 billion.
Iran’s share of agricultural exchanges in the BRICS countries is $13 billion, he said, adding that the maximum exchange of agricultural products between Iran and Brazil is $7 billion.
Early on April 14, Iranian Agriculture Minister Golamlezanuri Gezerge led a delegation to travel to Brazil to attend the 15th Agriculture Minister’s Meeting to discuss important agricultural issues.
Iran has officially launched its activities as an official member of BRICS since January 2024, along with the founding states of the group, including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Therefore, active participation in these conferences not only improves the role of Iran among BRICS countries, but also contributes to Tehran’s position in the agricultural industry.
