The president of the National Food and Export Machines Union explained that the document should entitle principles that promote stability in international trade in agricultural products, removal of existing barriers and widening access to food for the population of poor countries.
Blatov also highlighted Russia’s important role in ensuring global food security. He said the country is ranked first in the world for wheat exports and is one of the largest suppliers of grain.
At the same time, as experts pointed out, the production and export possibilities of Russia’s agricultural sector are far from exhausted, indicating the possibility of further strengthening Russia’s role in addressing global food challenges, he added.
