In a call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed Ishak Dal, Araguchi expressed preparations for Tehran, which will help ease tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad.
The two officials exchanged opinions on the latest developments in the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and India on Friday evening, PressTV reported.
Emphasizing friendly relations with Iran with both Pakistan and India, Aragut said Iran’s Islamic Republic is ready to provide that it is “ready to emit tensions and strengthen regional stability.”
He emphasized the importance of “patience and restraint by both sides” when managing the situation.
During the conversation, Ishaq Dal explained to Araguchi about the recent developments between Islamabad and New Delhi, expressing his gratitude for Iran’s “constructive and responsible approach” to tensions between the two countries.
He also expressed his hopes for a successful indirect consultation for the next round between Iran and the United States, scheduled to be held in Muscat on April 26th.
Earlier in the day, Araguchi took him to X (formerly Twitter) to describe India and Pakistan as “neighbors of Iranian brothers, enjoying relationships rooted in cultural and civilized relationships that were centuries ago.”
“Tehran is ready to use the excellent offices in Islamabad and New Delhi and will build a deeper understanding of this difficult time,” he writes.
Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated sharply after Tuesday killed 26 tourists in an attack in India-controlled Kashmir.
The Indian government has said the attacks have a “cross-border” link with Pakistan, Islamabad has strongly denied.
On Thursday night, Indian and Pakistani forces exchanged fires along the Control of the Conflict Area (LOC) in Kashmir, marking a dangerous aggravation between two neighbors after the fatal shooting in Pahargam.
The United Nations urged both sides to exercise restraint.
Meanwhile, Islamabad accused New Delhi of not providing sufficient evidence to link Pakistan’s government to the attack. He also warned that India’s attempt to suspend a groundbreaking water-sharing treaty between the two countries would be filled with “full power.”
Both sides suggest that ongoing tensions could escalate into military conflicts.
