“FM @Araghchi and his accompanying delegation have arrived in Muscat for the third round of Iran and US, mediated by Omani FM Al-Busaidi as of tomorrow morning,” Esmaeil Baghaei wrote in an X post on Friday night.
“We are determined to secure the legitimate and legal rights of the nation to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, while taking reasonable steps to demonstrate that our program is completely peaceful.”
“Ending illegal and inhumane sanctions in an objective and prompt way is a priority we are trying to achieve.”
“We will see how serious and prepared the other side is for a fair and realistic deal.”
Earlier on Friday, Baghhai said they had reached an understanding that Tehran and Washington would retain technical and expert-level sessions alongside the presence of senior Iranian and the US negotiators.
According to an arrangement held by the Omani host and agreed by Tehran and Washington, Baghey stresses that indirect negotiations between the Technical Council and the Iranian foreign minister and the special envoy of the US president are scheduled for Saturday.
The spokesman emphasized that progress in negotiations depends on the other’s goodwill, seriousness and realism.
He emphasized that Iranian delegations cannot escape efforts to coordinate every step of consultation based on past experiences and US actions and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Iranian people.
