SOUTH LEBANON – Amid escalating tensions caused by the Al-Aqsa flood operation, Lebanon is based on results for next year’s parliamentary elections, preparing for the scheduled local government elections next month.
This is done in light of the increased US interference in all aspects of Lebanon’s issues, and the election of local governments has become more than just a requirement for development and services for Lebanese citizens. Elections appear to be an important national security issue for Americans.
In fact, future elections represent a reasonable opportunity to examine the general perceptions of Lebanese society of the effectiveness of resistance, especially in Shia communities, if American diplomacy actually occurs. This is related to both the influence of the Battle of Gaza and the Battle of Uri al-Bath.
It is worth noting that the city’s elections will be held for the first time in decades without Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah. American Spiden (embassy) in Beirut bets that Nasrara’s lack of motivation and mobilization role is missing from the same voters and voters who have stopped rebuilding the homes and infrastructure that Washington has stolen in the Israeli attacks last September and November.
Furthermore, American Spiden relies on blatantly threatening tactics to disarm resistance!
In Washington’s view, elections provide a great opportunity for proxies in Lebanon to undermine Hezbollah politically and socially, allowing for an unprecedented move against resistance.
But who can guarantee that the election results will fulfill Washington’s aspirations?
Observers point out that despite the serious and painful hit, elections can produce consequences that go against American assumptions given the rapid and steady revamp of its organizational structure.
What’s more, its most important trust is its popular foundation. This appeared during the exceptional funeral procession of two assassinated secretary generals of Hezbollah, Syaed Nasrara and Safi Ardin.
This was also evident when the residents of the border village returned to their repeated positions in favor of occupied Palestine and resistance.
This was followed by a positive willingness to engage in dialogue on national strategy to protect Lebanon’s sovereignty despite active participation by Shiite duoes in elections of the Republic and forming government, and openly expressing radical rhetoric by Lebanese military parties, which rely on Israeli’s enemies.
The spell therefore backfired and increased the level of recognition among the popular bases of resistance amid the daily Israeli attacks against them.
Israel has been continuing to violate its ceasefire agreement with Lebanon since November 27, 2024.
With unprecedented effectiveness and enthusiasm and more than ever, this popular foundation of resistance will take part in elections, especially in areas facing existential challenges.
When the Lebanese military party praised President Hassan Ezedin, a member of the loyalty to the Congressional bloc of resistance, praised President Joseph Orn’s “wisdom,” and said the weapons of resistance would only be discussed “through understanding and dialogue.”
Ezzedine noted that resistance is “a cornerstone of the defence policy adopted by Lebanon and a comprehensive strategy at the national security level.”
Ezedine said, “Why is the United States insisting on proposing disarmament? And is Israel striving for all its capabilities and potential to achieve this action?
Ezedine emphasized that the goal of disarming resistance is to “weak Lebanon and eliminate its strengths and capabilities.”
