Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatti, in a call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut, expressed his disgrace to Iran’s Islamic Republic over the tragic explosion at Shahid Rajae port in Bandar Abbas. He wanted the people injured in the incident to recover quickly.
In the conversation, Abdelatti also updated Aragut on Egypt’s continued efforts to stop Israeli crimes in Palestine and provide humanitarian assistance to the defenseless people of Gaza.
On his part, the Iranian foreign minister described the continued blockade of food and medical supplies to Gaza, along with the mass murder of innocent people, as a “historical crime against humanity.” He further accused the United States and other Israeli allies of the country as accomplices of Israeli massacres and war crimes.
Araguchi also expressed deep concern about the international community’s indifference over these crimes, calling it “surprising concern.”
Araguchi further emphasized the need to oppose Israeli policy of forced displacement of people in the Gaza and the West Bank.
The top Iranian diplomat also explained to his Egyptian counterpart on the latest developments in Iran-US negotiations.
