Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem gave a speech that aired on Monday.
At the start of the speech, the Hezbollah leader said, “Today’s speech is addressing Lebanon’s Renaissance and upcoming local elections.”
He says the Lebanese Renaissance needs three priorities. The first priority stipulates that Israeli enemies must stop the invasion, withdraw from Lebanon, and release prisoners. It is Lebanon’s obligation to follow up on a ceasefire agreement by pushing contract sponsorships. The third priority we highlight is to rebuild the state.
He pointed out that “Israel” has violated more than 3,000 ceasefires, and that this number is unacceptable. Meanwhile, he said that Hezbollah was fully committed to the ceasefire agreement and facilitated the deployment of Lebanese forces.
Sheikh Naim Qassem has called on the Lebanese government to summon US envoys to protest Israeli heinous crimes.
He said the Zionist entities and the United States are trying to change the status quo and create a new equation for Lebanon.
He called on the Beirut government to “more aggressively pursue the demands of the people to end Israeli invasions, saying, “It is the right to expand the authority of the Lebanese state, but its obligation is to protect its citizens.”
“Let’s close the argument that justifies Israel’s invasion. Israel does not need an excuse to attack Lebanon.”
He warned that Israel wanted to control Lebanon by building a village in the south.
“Netanyahu is in a dire situation. I don’t know where he was slapped,” Kasem further insisted.
According to Hezbollah leaders, “We will not abandon the strength of Lebanon, its army and its state, Lebanon’s strength.”
“Lebanon will not rise unless we all work together. We reach out and hope for cooperation,” he said, adding, “We have promoted the election of a new president, formed a new government, and proceeded with the process of building the state.”
Sheikh Qassem went on to say that he “is supporting the President of Lebanon with three priorities: stopping Israeli attacks, rebuilding and building the nation.”
Hezbollah’s Sheikh Kasem concluded by fostering high voter turnout for future local elections.
