Russian presidential aide and chairman of the Marine Corps, Nikolei Patrshuv, told Tas that the United Nations needs to be reformed to adapt to a changed world order.
“The West has adamantly refused to acknowledge that the world is changing despite the scenario. The unipolar west-centered world is over. Multipolarity is in its place,” he said.
“We believe that UN reform is a logical result of the process of forming a new order. The UN Security Council may change based on the interests of the global community as a whole.”
According to Patlshev, the vast majority of the world countries that have been neglected by the West for decades have actually formed economic and political agendas. He added that BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) are becoming more popular.
