Designed for high accuracy and rapid deployment, the rocket was reportedly used to cause massive destruction in densely populated regions of southern Gaza.
According to an Israeli military statement, the precision guided rocket will be deployed by the 282nd artillery regiment and will attack Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups.
The statement further reported that the strike developed by Israeli contractor Elbit Systems is said to aim to minimize civilian casualties in the besieged Palestinian region.
Contrary to Israeli military claims, Gaza’s health ministry reported more than 12 civilian deaths and 37 injuries in affected areas, resulting from the latest Israeli attacks in the area.
Israeli occupation forces have recently increased the use of suicide drones to target tents and homes of displaced people.
Photos and videos of the drone’s wreckage were reviewed and identified by munitions researcher and former US Army explosive disposal specialist Trevor Ball.
“One-way attack drones are practically missiles and are considered missiles under most technical definitions,” Ball said.
“In terms of effect, these are pretty similar to the bombs and missiles that we used to attack tents and schools. The biggest difference is the ammunition they are lotering.
Israeli forces have already used surveillance technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital tools to cause massive destruction in residential areas on the besieged Palestinian Strip.
Israel has developed new artificial intelligence tools to gain advantage in brutal military campaigns in Gaza and elsewhere in the region.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s health ministry says nearly 40 people died across the strip that was besieged on Monday.
