“Yesterday, in Baku, we reached an understanding and signed with my dear brother, Ilham Aliyev, president of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” Iran Masoud Pezeshkian’s president of the Islamic Republic, wrote on his X account on Tuesday.
“This trip is a prelude to raise confidence and open new perspectives for comprehensive scientific, economic, cultural and security cooperation,” Pezeschkian said.
“I would like to thank Ilham Aliyev for his hospitality,” he added.
Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian was in Baku’s Azerbaijan capital for a state visit, which many experts described as a sign of warming relations between the two neighbors.
Pezeshkian and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev and his accompanying delegation signed seven cooperation documents on Monday, including a major agreement to strengthen transportation cooperation between the two countries.
Fars reported that the completion of the transport corridor that passes through Iran and links Azerbaijan to the existence of Naktiban would also help boost Tehran-Bak’s relationship.
The ARAS Railway Corridor will replace the so-called Zangezur corridor, where Azerbaijan once tried to establish Armenia’s territory, adding that the route will also increase the transportation options for the international North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-North-
