Lebanese leader Sheikh Sami Abu al-Mini, responding to the development and clashes of the southern suburbs of Damascus, said “What’s happening in Syria is an instigation conspiracy.”
He further emphasized that “Damascus must listen to the demands of all Syrian people.”
He said, “We condemn the prophet Muhammad and the insults of attempts to incite. There are plots that try to escalate tensions. We want to control the situation. The incitingist plans are being implemented by Israel.
In the meantime, Walid Jamblat, head of Lebanon’s progressive socialist party, said regarding Syria’s development, “We want peace and dialogue, and that Syrian authorities must conduct a transparent investigation into the events of Jarama.
John Barat also said, “We want a united Syria.”
