While in Rio de Janeiro, Ahmadian will hold bilateral and multilateral meetings and negotiations with representatives of other member states of intergovernmental organizations from 10 members, according to news television.
The conferences and consultations focus on security, political and economic cooperation and development in West Asia, the report added, adding that discussions are expected to take place over security arrangements between BRICS members.
Brazil will hold the BRICS revolving presidency in 2025, and the conference related to this important international organization will be hosted by Brazil.
Russia, Brazil, India, China and South Africa are founding members of BRICS, and Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Iran have recently joined the group.
The expanded BRICS Group has nine partner countries as its affiliates, including Bolivia, Cuba, Belarus, Malaysia, Nigeria and Kazakhstan. This position allows these countries to be involved in and benefited in the BRICS initiative.
Countries such as Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Malaysia have officially applied for membership, while several others have expressed interest in participating.
Since its establishment after World War II, BRICS has sought to strengthen its Global South representatives in multilateral organizations and strengthen cooperation between developing and emerging countries.
Currently, BRICS has a collective population of around 3.5 billion, with a total economy of over $28.5 trillion or around 28% of the world economy.
The group gathering is amid growing among the global tropical countries, including members of the BRICS group, to reconstruct the existing world order.
