In a speech at the conference held on National Persian Gulf Day, the head of the Tehran-based Strategic Council on Diplomatic Relations highlighted the need for serious dialogue between Iran and the Persian Gulf countries.
“In light of the rationality and maturity of the region’s countries, regional dialogue between Iran and all Arab countries should be realized. Iran also wants such dialogue,” said Haraj, Iran’s foreign minister and adviser to the leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Expressing concern about Israel’s efforts to control the Persian Gulf region, he highlighted the formation of a serious dialogue between Iran and the region’s Arab states.
Iran marked Persian Gulf State Day on Wednesday. This marks the anniversary of the expulsion of colonies and foreign troops from the Strategic Gulf in 1622.
