Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut held a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday evening at Tehran’s local location.
In addition to exchanging opinions and consultations on regional and international development, Iranian diplomats have explained to the UN Chief Justice about the latest process of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States, as well as the preparations for Oman to plan the next round of such speeches.
Emphasizing the responsible approach adopted by Iran’s Islamic Republic, he thought that in choosing a diplomatic path to resolve the counterfeiting crisis against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, he needed serious will and realism from the other side in the path. He further stated, “While complying with its obligations, Iran claims to benefit from nuclear energy for peaceful purposes as a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Araguchi noted a record of violations of commitments by the opposing sides in its response with Iran, and emphasized that in order to achieve a balanced, fair and lasting agreement, it would not only refrain from refraining from refraining from issues that are illegal and violating the NPT, but also refraining from providing cooperation in its commitments to maintain the economic rights of the environment and to maintain the Iranian economy.
The Iranian minister added: “Contradictory actions and statements from US officials continue to add sanctions, create threats to the Iranian state, and strengthened our distrust and doubt about the seriousness of America in adopting the path of diplomacy.”
Araguchi also pointed to holding several consultations with three major powers over the past year, Germany, France and the UK, highlighting Tehran’s preparations to continue its involvement with the European side. He further expressed his desire for these three countries to adopt a constructive approach towards a peaceful solution to the prominent problems.
