In a post by his X-account, Esmaeil Baghaei Wroe, he said, “The World Press Freedom Day reminds us of the courage of journalists, photographers and videographers.
Today, he said we pay tribute to more than 200 media representatives who documented the indescribable suffering of the Palestinians, the brutality, occupation and genocide policies of the Israeli regime.
Many of them have fallen victim to this genocide campaign. Because they tried to expose it, the US and other supporters of the Israeli regime’s crimes are complicit in these heinous atrocities and must be held accountable.
In December 1993, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared May 3 as World Reporters’ Freedom Day.
