Russian President Vladimir Putin called Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday to repeatedly accuses him of Pahargam’s terrorist attacks, supporting India’s fight against terrorism and to bring the perpetrators of the incident to a judge.
Putin was one of the first world leaders to condemn the terrorist attacks that killed 26 civilians on April 22 and called for punishment of their sponsors and perpetrators. Other world leaders, including US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer, called Modi to condemn the attack.
In a call with Modi, President Putin “he strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in India’s Pahargam,” and “he expressed his apologies for losing his innocent life and “he expressed full support for India in the fight against terrorism,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said in a social media post.
Putin “emphasized that the perpetrators of the violent attacks and their supporters must be brought to trial,” Jacewal said.
