In response to a question about a series of rubbers published in the media about the status of Iran-US negotiations, including the rules of a meeting between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump next week, the dissatisfaction of the negotiating parties with Oman, Iran’s proposal for direct negotiations, and the like, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaeivconsidered all these claims to be fake and unfounded news.
He noted that providing information on the activities of diplomatic equipment, including indirect consultations with Iran, in a transparent, professional and timely manner will be done by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Iran and the United States have held three meetings through Oman so far.
The fourth round was originally scheduled for May 3rd in the Italian capital. However, it was postponed after Iran explained it as a “technical and logistical” reason.
Both sides have so far described their speech as generally productive, including the final round that was billed as a “constructive” process.
