During his visit to New Delhi, Iran’s top diplomats will discuss bilateral relations, issues of mutual interest, and recent regional and international developments.
In addition to consultations with high-ranking Indian officials on the issue of mutual benefits, the Iranian-India Joint Economic Cooperation Committee will also be held as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi and his chairman of his India’s Subramanyam Jaishankar.
Additionally, the latest status of implementation of economic agreements between the two countries will be reviewed during the visit.
Given the recent outbreak of tensions between Pakistan and India, Iran has expressed deep concern over the rising military tensions between India and Pakistan, showing restraint and calling on both sides to avoid further escalation.
Earlier on Wednesday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaille Bagheye expressed serious concern over the intensifying conflict between India and Pakistan, urging both countries to exercise restraint.
