General Salami’s warning during the announcement of the IRGC Navy’s underground drone hangar on Thursday came amidst the threats of the US and Israel targeting Iran’s nuclear energy facilities, news outlets reported.
“The principle of our defense doctrine is that from every point in time when the enemy acts against our interests and goals, we hit by targeting that point and other points with the enemy’s interest,” Salami said.
“Therefore, we declare that every point of the territory where the invasion originates will be targeted for our invasion, meaning that the origin will be targeted,” he added.
General Salami assured the Iranians that the country’s military capabilities would be addressed by the threat. “Our dear nation should know that we stand full of hands against our enemies,” he said.
The underground drone hanger, released Thursday, is the latest in the latest facility, exhibited against the backdrop of hostile rhetoric from Israel and the United States, threatening Tehran with potential military action against the nuclear program.
“What the Iranian state is witnessing today is just a small portion of the huge drone capabilities of the IRGC Navy,” General Salami said.
“The drones at their disposal are the most modern and advanced drone technology in the world, giving commanders the freedom to their hands for various types of strikes and providing planning flexibility.”
On Thursday, Israeli War Minister Katz threatened Iran with “Gaza-like” actions amid escalation with Yemen. Israel accused Iran of providing military aid to Yemeni forces.
General Salami said, “Another aspect of our display of power is to correct the miscalculations and mistakes of the enemy.”
“This is because our enemies must be somewhat familiar with the reality of our power, so we do not plunge from ignorance into miscalculation or judgment, and we do not engage in actions that are harmful to ourselves.”
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump said he was willing to reach an agreement with Tehran that would allow the US to “blow up” Iran’s nuclear energy facilities.
“It’s so simple,” he said during a swapping with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. “We’d prefer strong, verified deals that actually blow them up…” Trump said. He mentioned Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The US president added, “There are only two possible outcomes.”
Earlier on Thursday, General Salami said Iran prioritizes diplomacy on the nuclear issue and seeks a fair solution without threat, but remains fully prepared for war on all scales.
“Americans should know that if they threaten us, we are prepared for war on any scale,” he told the ceremony in Mashhad.
The US and Iran have been holding three negotiations since April 12th. The planned fourth round, originally scheduled for May 3, has been postponed for “logistical reasons.”
General Salami said “Their new threats and sanctions have demonstrated that Americans are not reliable and unreliable.”
The IRGC chief emphasized that Iran did not pursue nuclear weapons and voluntarily removed them from its defence doctrine.
The Iranian general will not abandon its important benefits, General Salami said. He warned that “detective” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was trying to influence the minds of American officials and bring them into an endless war.
