According to Press Television, National President Xi Jinping President Vladimir Putin issued a joint statement during his official visit to Moscow during his official visit to XI.
Both sides expressed concern about global instability and expansionist policies of the US and its allies.
“The US and its allies are trying to promote NATO’s eastward expansion into the Asia-Pacific region, establishing “small circles” in the Asia-Pacific region, and acquiring regional countries to promote the “Indo-Pacific Strategy.”
Xi and Putin said they will deepen their military and other ties, “strengthen coordination and respond firmly to the US policy of “double containment” on both countries.”
The two leaders sought “right views” of World War II history and denounced attempts to correct the outcome of the war.
They also pledged to resist neo-Nazism, militarism, racism and xenophobia and to prevent the revival of ideologies that threaten global peace.
Xi and Putin emphasized their common view of countering “unilateral enforcement measures,” including sanctions imposed without UN approval. Such actions “violate the UN Charter” and undermine “international security,” the statement said.
