Leading a high-ranking delegation, Alipov was welcomed by Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammad Atabak at Tehran’s Merabad International Airport on Sunday.
Iran’s first vice president, Mohamadreza, received Prime Minister Uzbek before their meeting.
His visits include meetings with Iranian officials and participation in joint business meetings attended by economic authorities from both countries.
During his stay, multiple cooperation agreements between Iran and Uzbekistan are expected to be signed.
As part of Alipov’s visit, the 16th Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Committee will be convened and the Uzbekistan trade centre in Tehran will take over.
Iran’s Minister of Industry and Iran-Uzbekistan’s Joint Cooperation Committee Mohammad Atabak discussed details of the provisions and documents agreed by the two countries to implement it on Saturday night with Uzbek counterpart Kudratov.
