In a statement issued Wednesday, the department denounced Trump’s accusations as attempts to distort local reality and shift responsibility to Tehran.
Additionally, Trump’s allegations were described as an effort to distract attention from the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli administration, the Israeli administration, the most precious ally in the West Asia region, and Washington’s conspiracy in Israeli atrocities.
On Tuesday, Trump called Iran the “most destructive force” of the West Asia region.
He accused the country of promoting regional instability and said the US would not allow the development of “nuclear weapons.”
Meanwhile, Trump had threatened to deploy “large maximum pressure” against the Islamic Republic.
A statement from the Foreign Ministry noted that accusations came as the US-backed Israeli regime continued its “most brutal colonial genocide in occupied Palestine.”
This has mentioned the insane war of massacre since October 2023 of the regime over the Gaza Strip, which has so far claimed the lives of over 52,900 Palestinians, mostly women and children. The war has received unlimited military and political support on the US side.
The statement further noted that the regime was also responsible for the fatal military occupation and attacks elsewhere in areas such as Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.
The ministry stressed that these atrocities, including violations of the sovereignty of other countries and the integrity of the territorial territories of other countries, as well as the fear and war crimes committed by regimes against those countries, are rather hidden by false accusations against Iran.
“The US President’s remarks are another example of a deceptive approach by US policymakers, calling for Israel to be held accountable for its actions against the local state.”
Meanwhile, the ministry emphasized that such inflammatory rhetoric does not succeed in separating Iranian people, even if they live domestically or abroad.
It also pointed to Washington’s direct and indirect support of previous oppressive regimes across the region and its continued role in imposing enforcement measures that undermine the rights of Iranian citizens.
But “the deceptive and insulting statements by the US president will never create a rift in the unity of Iranians, whether they are inside or abroad,” the statement reads.
Furthermore, the ministry reaffirmed that Iran and its regional partners have decided to continue to strengthen relations and promote cooperation so that they are not affected by external attempts to sow discords.
“While the malicious intent behind these statements is clear, Iran and its allies will continue to build friendly relations based on mutual respect and shared interests that must be third-party attempts to cause division,” the statement concluded.
