The Minister made his speech with media members and correspondents of the OIC-15 Dialogue Platform at a press conference held in Tehran on Sunday.
Ethics related to artificial intelligence (AI) are primarily concentrated on documents relating to cooperation between Islamic countries, the minister said at the meeting.
Since this morning, Tehran has been hosting ministers and representatives of higher education in Islamic countries under the OIC-15 Dialogue Platform.
As the Minister pointed out, the National Commission for Iran’s UN Education, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) has become more active in Iran.
He added that UNESCO documents on AI, already proposed by Iran, have also been accepted.
According to the Minister, the OIC can promote technological and scientific development in Islamic countries.
Organizing the second summit of higher education ministers from Islamic countries within the OIC-15 dialogue platform by the Ministry of Science and Research and Technology represents a strategic opportunity to shape the future outlook for AI and strengthen Iran’s scientific and technological diplomacy with the Islamic world.
The Iranian capital is holding its second ministerial meeting of the OIC-15 Dialogue Platform from May 18-19.
