The president of Iraqi Kurdistan Néchilvan Barzani met with Mohammad Bagheha Galibahu, chairman of Iran’s Islamic Council, to discuss the development of relations in Iran, Iraq and the Kurdistan region.
The priority of the Iranian government and parliament is to improve relations with neighboring countries, particularly Islamic countries, and given the history of cooperation between them, there is a very good relationship between Iran, Iraq and Kurdistan regions, Galibach said.
Garribach emphasized that “promoting economic cooperation will also lead to security and stability in the region,” Garribach emphasized.
Both sides praised the progress in bilateral relations. Nechirvan Barzani expressed his gratitude for the continued support and cooperation of the Republic of Iran with both Iraq and the Kurdistan region.
They also discussed the recent developments of the region and highlighted the need for coordination between the relevant parties to maintain stability and peace. Furthermore, they agreed to the importance of joint efforts based on shared interests.
