He added that Iranian citizens who were detained were also denied access and protection from the consul.
Iranian officials emphasized that the British government is entirely responsible for the outcome of such actions.
Four Iranians were arrested on Saturday. The 29-year-old was arrested in Swindon, Wiltshire, the 46-year-old was arrested in west London, the 29-year-old was arrested in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and the 40-year-old was arrested in Rochdale.
